TIPTON, Ind.—Encompass Credit Union has pledged $100,000 to the Tipton Baseball Project, becoming the third field sponsor for the city’s planned community baseball complex.
Encompass Credit Union joins the IU Health Tipton Medical Staff and the Tipton County Foundation, each of which has also committed $100,000 to the project, reflecting broad local support, according to the Hamilton County Reporter.
Mayor Kegan Schmicker said the contribution will help advance a project designed to serve families and young athletes.

“Projects like this move forward because of partners who believe in investing in their community,” Schmicker told the Reporter. “Encompass Credit Union has long been committed to the people of Tipton, and their support of this project will help create a place where young athletes can develop their skills and families can come together around the game of baseball.”

Ties to Community
Encompass Credit Union CEO Josh Frawley said the organization’s support reflects its ties to the community.
“Tipton has meant so much to Encompass and has been a monumental part of making Encompass what it is today,” Frawley told the Hamilton County Reporter. “We knew the importance of this project to the citizens of Tipton and wanted to show our dedication to the community by joining in the efforts to get baseball fields back in Tipton for its youth. Sports are integral to the fabric of Tipton and we couldn’t be more excited to continue to support the City of Tipton, just as we will strive to continue to support all of the communities that Encompass serves.”
