MODESTO, Calif.–Two credit unions have announced promotions tied to significant anniversaries this year.
In California, Valley First Credit Union is celebrating its 75th year serving the Central Valley of California.
Since its founding in December 1949, Valley First said it has remained committed to helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve financial wellness while fostering a strong sense of community.
To mark this milestone, the credit unions aid it is launching a year-long 75th Anniversary Celebration, “engaging members, employees, and local communities through special events, exclusive member rewards, and impactful storytelling that highlights the credit union’s rich history and future vision.”

“For 75 years, Valley First has been more than just a financial institution – we’ve been a trusted partner in our members’ lives,” President and CEO Kathryn Davis said in a statement. “This anniversary is a testament to the relationships we’ve built, the trust we’ve earned, and our commitment to the communities we serve. We look forward to celebrating with our members and continuing to make a positive impact for generations to come.”
A Legacy of Service and Growth
Founded on the principles of financial inclusion and community support, Valley First said it has evolved into a leading financial institution serving thousands of members across the Central Valley. Throughout its history, the credit union further said it has championed financial literacy, small business growth, and community outreach, reinforcing its mission of “People Helping People.”
What’s Planned
As part of the 75th anniversary campaign, Valley First said it will:
- Host member appreciation events featuring giveaways and special promotions.
- Recognize employees and long-standing members who have contributed to the credit union’s success.
- Share inspiring stories of impact and financial success from members and businesses.
- Give back to the community through volunteer initiatives and financial wellness programs.
Turning 90 in Maryland
Meanwhile, in Hunt Valley, Md., Point Breeze Credit Union has announced a number of special promotions in the leadup to Aug. 21, when it will celebrate its 90th anniversary.

“As we reflect on our journey over the past nine decades, we are grateful for the support of our members, who have been the heart of our success for nearly a century,” the $940-million Point Breeze CU said.
As part of the celebration it has introduced a new dedicated logo that symbolize what it called its “rich history and promising future.”
“Our 90th anniversary is a celebration of our members and our dedication to serving others,” President and CEO Tonia Niedzialkowski said in a statement. “We’ve been privileged to serve local families, individuals, and businesses for generations, and we cannot thank them enough for their loyalty and support. We look forward to many more years of success together.”
Events Planned
Throughout the year the credit union said its members and the community can expect to see a variety of commemorations across all its platforms, including in-branch displays, email newsletters, and social media content, as well as special offers and a limited-edition commemorative coin.
Point Breeze has more than 65,000 members.
