League of Credit Unions Honors Professionals, Emerging Professionals of the Year

ORLANDO– The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates has recognized its 2025 Professionals of the Year and Emerging Professionals during its ENGAGE 2026 event here.

The association said Professional of the Year award honors credit union professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to advancing the credit union movement.

Each year, one professional from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia is selected for their meaningful contributions to their organization, their members, and the industry.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Alabama: Leia Ragland, Legacy Community Federal Credit Union
  • Florida: Kevin Miller, Addition Financial Credit Union
  • Georgia: Chadwick Evans, Associated Credit Union
  • Virginia: Amanda Habansky, Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union

Leia Ragland

The League said Leia Ragland was recognized for her innovative leadership and commitment to enhancing the member experience. 

“As Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Development at Legacy Community Federal Credit Union, she has led transformative initiatives including a digital banking upgrade, website redesign, and a merger that expanded the credit union’s footprint,” the association said. “Her active involvement in The League and dedication to developing future leaders further reflects her impact on the credit union movement.”

Kevin Miller

Kevin Miller was honored for his strong leadership and strategic vision as CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union.

“Under his guidance, the credit union has grown significantly in both assets and reach, while continuing to prioritize innovation and member service,” The League stated. “His leadership has driven advancements in digital banking, expanded partnerships, and strengthened community impact through philanthropic initiatives and advocacy efforts.”

Chadwick Evans

Chadwick Evans was recognized for his long-standing commitment to lending excellence and the credit union mission. 

“As Executive Vice President of Lending at Associated Credit Union, he has led key initiatives that improved operational efficiency and enhanced the member experience. Beyond his professional role, his involvement in industry organizations and community initiatives reflects a deep dedication to service and leadership,” the League stated. 

Amanda Habansky

Amanda Habansky was honored for her leadership and commitment to expanding financial access and opportunity. 

“As President and CEO of Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union, she has leveraged the credit union’s Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) designation to support underserved communities through innovative programs and advocacy,” The League said. “Her leadership continues to drive meaningful impact for members and communities alike.”

“These professionals represent the highest standard of leadership within the credit union movement, and we are honored to recognize them today,” Samantha A.M. Beeler, president of The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates, said in a statement. “Through their dedication, innovation, and commitment to service, they are not only strengthening their organizations, but they are also strengthening the communities where they work, play, and live.”

EMerging Professionals Honored

Separately, the League recognized the 2025 Emerging Professionals of the Year during ENGAGE 2026. The award honors rising leaders who demonstrate exceptional promise, dedication, and commitment to the credit union mission.

Each year, one emerging professional from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia is selected for their contributions to their organization, their communities, and the future of the credit union movement.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Alabama: Caleb Lambert, Legacy Community Federal Credit Union
  • Florida: Brianna Brinkley, Calhoun Liberty Credit Union
  • Georgia: Tia Shaheed, Macon-Bibb Employees Credit Union
  • Virginia: Sabrina Guerin, Virginia Credit Union

Caleb Lambert

Caleb Lambert was recognized for his leadership in community engagement and his commitment to advancing the credit union movement. As Director of Community Engagement at Legacy Community Federal Credit Union, he has led initiatives that strengthen community partnerships, elevate financial education, and support meaningful outreach. His involvement in professional development programs and industry initiatives reflects a strong dedication to growth and service.

Brianna Brinkley

Brianna Brinkley was honored for her commitment to professional growth and community impact. As a Mortgage Originator at Calhoun Liberty Credit Union, she plays a key role in helping members achieve homeownership while actively contributing to industry engagement efforts. Her involvement in emerging professional networks and community outreach initiatives highlights her dedication to both her members and the credit union movement.

Tia Shaheed

Tia Shaheed was recognized for her passion for member service and dedication to the credit union mission. As a Member Service Representative at Macon-Bibb Employees Credit Union, she is committed to building trust with members and delivering meaningful financial guidance. Her continued pursuit of professional growth and engagement within the industry reflects a strong commitment to leadership and service.

Sabrina Guerin

Sabrina Guerin was honored for her impact with financial education and her commitment to serving underserved communities. As a Senior Adult Financial Education Specialist at Virginia Credit Union, she has led initiatives that expand access to financial knowledge and empower individuals to achieve long-term success.
