JACKSON COUNTY, Mich.–A Florida man has been arrested here for fraud that involved an interactive banking machine.

According to investigators, True Community Credit Union reported suspicious activity at one of ITMs. The next day, more fraudulent withdrawals occurred, with a “significant amount” of cash taken, WKHM reported.
The report said police identified a 32-year-old suspect from Miami Gardens, Fla. and tracked down his vehicle. He was arrested before leaving the state and is now in the Jackson County Jail facing multiple fraud charges.
Scam Calls
WKHM said authorities are warning of a scam where callers posing as the credit union claim a member’s account has fraudulent charges and then ask for card or Social Security numbers.
According to police, some stolen money has been recovered, but the investigation continues.
