BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Meritrust Credit Union has entered into a partnership with University of Colorado quarterback Julian “JuJu” Lewis for the 2026 college football season, with the relationship focused on financial well-being and community engagement.

Meritrust said the partnership will emphasize financial education, personal growth and efforts to help members of the community build stronger financial foundations.
“We’re proud to welcome JuJu as he continues building his path and inspiring current and future generations to take charge of their financial futures,” Meritrust CEO James Nastars said in a statement. “His drive, leadership and integrity reflect the values we share at Meritrust. We look forward to cheering him on this season and creating a positive impact together in the Colorado community.”
Lewis, a former five-star recruit from Carrollton, Ga., joined Colorado as one of the nation’s top quarterback prospects.
‘Making a Positive Impact’
“I’m excited to partner with Meritrust and represent a team that’s invested in the Boulder community,” Lewis said. “I’m always looking for ways to grow, lead by example and make a positive impact on and off the field. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together this season.”
Meritrust said it and Lewis will work together throughout the 2026 season to promote financial well-being, personal development and community involvement. The credit union did not disclose financial terms of the partnership.
