TIGARD, Ore. — Unitus Community Credit Union said it has launched a new international remittance service called Movi, becoming the first credit union to offer the platform and expanding options for members to send money to family and friends overseas.

According to the $1.8-billion UCCU, Movi is available through the credit union’s digital banking platform on both desktop and mobile devices, allowing members to initiate international transfers through the same channels they use for everyday banking.

To encourage adoption of the service, Unitus said it is waiving fees on eligible cross-border transfers completed through Aug. 31, 2026.

According to Unitus, recipients can receive funds through several delivery methods, including:

  • Transfer to a bank account.
  • Transfer to a debit card.
  • Cash pickup.

The credit union said members can send funds to recipients in more than 50 countries.
