MADISON, Wis. — TruStage said it took steps to shut down portions of its network while it investigates what the company described as a cybersecurity incident, emphasizing that the move was taken out of caution as it works to determine the scope of the event.
In a statement, the company said it voluntarily took its network offline after identifying suspicious activity, adding that it immediately activated its incident response protocols and is working with third-party cybersecurity specialists to investigate the matter.

According to TruStage, the shutdown was intended to help contain any potential threat while the investigation continues. The company did not disclose the nature of the suspected attack, whether ransomware was involved or whether any customer or employee information had been compromised.
The company also did not provide a timeline for restoring affected systems but said it is working to resume normal operations as quickly and safely as possible.
Communicating With Customers, Business Partners
In its statement TruStage said it is communicating with customers, credit unions and business partners regarding any service disruptions and will provide updates as additional information becomes available. The company said protecting customer information and maintaining the security of its systems remain its top priorities.
TruStage did not identify the source of the suspected cyber incident. The investigation remains ongoing.

this article is not correct – no live person is speaking with clients – you get shut down & told to call back – why is there not live agents to take calls on what is going on with our financial accounts ???
this is horrible customer service being completely shut out from any communication & no info even posted on the website – when this issue gets resolved – i will be moving all of my funds out of TruStage Financial – this is stellar credit union quality service to member owners ??????
