NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Two credit unions in the Volunteer State are offering special relief programs for members affected by the recent winter storms and extremely cold weather.
The Nashville region has seen significant ice damage, downed trees and power outages as a result of the record cold temperatures and snow recently.
In response, US Community Credit Union is offering a Winter Storm Emergency Relief Loan to help members address storm-related expenses, such as home or vehicle repairs, temporary housing, utilities, and other essential needs resulting from recent winter storms.
The loans offer:
- Up to $2,000
- 0 % APR for first 90 days
- 12-month term
Loan Relief
Also in Nashville, Vanderbilt Credit Union said all VUMC employees impacted by the recent severe weather may be eligible for a relief loan through the Vanderbilt Credit Union (VCU). These relief loans range from $500 to $50,000. Regardless of credit history, VCU will extend credit to anyone who has worked for VUMC for two or more years.
