ONTARIO, Calif.—With Scott Simpson moving to America’s Credit Unions as its new president and CEO, the California and Nevada Leagues and Utah’s Credit Unions will be looking for new leadership.
The organizations, which are overseen by a joint management agreement, have until early November, when Simpson officially takes over the national trade association, to name a new CEO.

A spokesperson for the California and Nevada Leagues told the CU Daily it would not be issuing any formal statement at this time and that the respective boards will be handling the search.
Business as Usual
“Our team and leadership are in place and business continues as usual,” the organization said.
In 2003, Simpson, at the age of 34, became the youngest state CU association president when he was named to lead Utah’s Credit Unions. He was named president of the California and Nevada Leagues in 2024.
The Utah, California and Nevada associations recently formed a new shared services organization called Fuel, which the CU Daily profiled here.
Simpson also shared his thoughts on the move to America’s Credit Unions here.
