NILES, Ohio – 717 Credit Union’s Financial Wellness Night at the Ballpark will take place at 7:17 p.m. July 17 at the newly named 717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood.
“This year will be special for us, a sort of homecoming as we celebrate with the community that has supported us for 69 years at the new 717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood,” CEO John Demmler said in a statement.

According to the credit union, as minor league baseball’s Mahoning Valley Scrappers face the State College Spikes, it will offer giveaways and special savings opportunities for guests at the ballpark, with a year-round focus on financial wellness.
Night of Free Entertainment
As in previous years, the $2-billion 717 CU said it will buy out the field to provide a night of free entertainment for the community – with the first combined fireworks and drone show at the field. Free hotdogs and soft drinks will be provided for attendees. Dollar Dog Kids Club members can enjoy a kid zone, with a special visit from the Dollar Dog mascot and more.
717 employees and their families will join the community with a company picnic in celebration of financial wellness, the credit union said.
Members of 717 Credit Union can receive premium seating by presenting proof of membership at the box office, such as a debit or credit card or an account statement.
