Numerica CU Plans to Lay Off 25 Employees

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.–Numerica Credit Union has announced plans to lay off 25 employees by the end of this month.

The $4-billion Numerica CU said the number reflects about 3.5% of its total workforce and is part of a  restructuring plan.

In a statement, Numerica President and CEO Carla Cicero attributed the staffing cuts to an “evolving economic landscape” and the changing needs of the its 175,000  members.

According to its year-end 5300, Numerica closed 2024 with $32.3-million in net income and net worth of 11.79%,

Severance Packages Offered

In a statement to the media, Cicero said she deeply regrets the need for the layoffs and that all impacted employees will receive severance packages which include support for job placement services.

According to KREM News, Numerica has two branch locations in the Wenatchee Valley, where news of the layoffs was delivered at a special dinner for its employees hosted by the credit union’s leadership. It’s unknown how many employees from the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee branches will be let go.

The credit union has 21 branches in all.
