Brewers Cut the Ribbon on New UW Credit Union Plaza Outside Ballpark

MILWAUKEE –Major League Baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers has officially cut the ribbon on the UW Credit Union Plaza, outside its home ballpark, American Family Field.

“The new outdoor destination expands the ballpark experience beyond the game, giving fans of all ages a vibrant, fan-focused space to gather before games,” the organizations said.

Open on gamedays, the UW Credit Union Plaza includes a biergarten, performance stage, playground, mini-golf course and food and beverage options.

The performance stage will serve as a hub for live entertainment including Brewers Dance Crew performances, Theme Night celebrations, and local bands and DJs throughout the season, the team stated. Beverage service will be available on the plaza, and for select games, food trucks and other vendors will offer light food options.

Spending Time Together

“This is another spot for people to meet up, to congregate, to hang out with other fans and to really spend that kind of time together,” Milwaukee Brewers COO Marti Wronski said in a statement. “Being able to elevate that fan experience, being able to elevate the ballpark experience more and more as we go along, that is so important to use, to never be stagnant in terms of what we offer to our fans,” she added.

According to the Brewers, the new space was designed with families in mind, and the UW Credit Union Plaza features a playground space inspired by Wisconsin’s agricultural heritage, complete with slides and interactive playground elements. Fans can enjoy a Wisconsin-themed mini-golf course, featuring holes inspired by iconic state symbols and landmarks, including the Hoan Bridge, The Famous Racing Sausages, the Driftless Region and the Elroy-Sparta Trail,

The team said.

The course also includes a Lake Michigan-inspired water feature, a six-foot windmill and is anchored by a six-foot Barrelman figure honoring the Brewers heritage.
