Achieva CU Names Nicole Tompkins as its First Chief Deposit Officer

DUNEDIN, Fla.– Achieva Credit Union has appointed Nicole Tompkins as its first Chief Deposit Officer, a new executive position created to support the credit union’s continued growth and strengthen the products and services it provides to members.

Tompkins brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience across the credit union and banking industries. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer at Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Kingston, New York, where she led retail banking, business banking, treasury cash management, wealth management, business development, community impact, and the contact center. In that role, she helped drive deposit growth, strengthen business relationships, and lead strategic initiatives across the organization.

Prior to her role as Chief Experience Officer, Tompkins served as the Vice President of Retail Banking & Wealth Management and held previous leadership positions at Rhinebeck Bank, Orange Bank & Trust and Bank of America. She began her career as a teller, providing her with a unique perspective on every stage of the member experience.
“Nicole is an accomplished leader with a proven ability to build strong teams, deepen member relationships, and drive sustainable growth,” said Eric Jenkins, President and CEO of Achieva Credit Union. “Her experience, collaborative leadership style, and passion for serving communities make her an outstanding addition to Achieva. We’re excited to have her lead this new role as we continue investing in products, services, and solutions that help our members achieve their financial goals.”

As Chief Deposit Officer, Tompkins will oversee Achieva’s deposit strategy while working across the organization to enhance consumer and business banking products, strengthen treasury management services, and support long-term growth. She will also focus on developing innovative solutions that help members build stronger financial futures while ensuring the credit union remains well positioned to serve the community for years to come.

“I’ve always been drawn to organizations that put people first, and that’s exactly what I found at Achieva,” said Tompkins. “From the moment I learned about Achieva, I was inspired by its commitment to the community and its focus on making a real difference in people’s lives. I’m excited to build on that foundation by creating innovative solutions, supporting our teams, and helping more members and businesses succeed.
