NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union has established the Alloya Hall of Champions to recognize individuals whose leadership helped shape the organization and advance the corporate credit union movement.
Alloya unveiled the hall during its annual Credit Union Leadership Symposium, held Sept. 9-11 in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of the corporate credit union’s 15th anniversary celebration.
The inaugural class includes eight credit union leaders who contributed to Alloya’s charter formation and served on its board or Supervisory Committee throughout the organization’s first 15 years, according to Alloya.
Alloya noted it was founded in 2011 during a period of “upheaval” in the corporate credit union system, and that “credit union leaders worked together to recapitalize and establish an organization designed to meet the evolving needs of credit unions nationwide.”
‘Shared Purpose’
“The story of Alloya has always been a story of people united by a shared purpose,” CEO Todd Adams said in a statement. “At a pivotal moment for the corporate credit union system, these leaders stepped forward with vision, courage and an unwavering belief in the Power of Cooperation.”
The inaugural inductees are:
- Curt Cecala, president and CEO of TCT Federal Credit Union in New York.
- Michael Daugherty, retired CEO of Community Plus Credit Union in Illinois.
- Leanne McGuinness, chief financial officer of The Summit Federal Credit Union in New York.
- John Fiore, retired president and CEO of Motorola Employees Credit Union, now Consumers Credit Union, in Illinois.
- Floyd Rummel III, retired CEO of Northern Hills Federal Credit Union in South Dakota.
- Amy Sink, CEO of Interra Credit Union in Indiana.
- Dan Stoltz, president and CEO of Blaze Credit Union in Minnesota.
- David Suvall, retired president and CEO of Rhode Island Credit Union.
Early Supporters
Adams said the inductees supported Alloya before the organization had a proven path to success and helped build it around collaboration, service and cooperative strength.
“Because of their leadership and commitment, Alloya has become a trusted partner to credit unions nationwide,” Adams said. “Today’s recognition is not simply about honoring the past but about celebrating a legacy that continues to inspire the next generation of cooperative leaders.”
Alloya said induction into the Hall of Champions is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the credit union movement and a strong commitment to cooperation.
