CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Altra Federal Credit Union will have its logo displayed on Austin Peay State University’s men’s and women’s basketball uniforms beginning with the 2026-27 season under a multiyear sponsorship agreement, the university announced.
The agreement, arranged through Taymar Sales U., follows NCAA legislation approved in January allowing jersey patches, according to Austin Peay. An Altra patch will appear on all uniforms worn by both basketball programs.
The $3.2-billion Altra FCU is based in Wisconsin, but has three branches in the Clarksville market.
The partnership also will provide student-athletes with financial wellness education and resources, the university said.

A Partnership Beyond The Court
Austin Peay athletic director Jordan Harmon said the agreement expands Altra’s relationship with the university and its investment in the Clarksville community, where the credit union has been a partner for more than two decades.
“Altra’s support also helps us provide opportunities for our student-athletes that extend beyond their time on the court and prepare them for success after graduation,” Harmon said.
“Partnerships like this are about more than putting a name on a jersey. They are about two organizations coming together to invest in Clarksville, support our student-athletes and make our community stronger,” he added.
Cheryl Dutton, Altra’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said the agreement offers an opportunity to support students while strengthening connections across the university and Clarksville communities.
‘More than a Logo’
“This partnership is about more than a logo on a basketball jersey,” Dutton said. “It’s an opportunity to support student-athletes through financial wellness education and resources while building meaningful connections across the APSU and Clarksville communities.”
“We believe the best partnerships are built on shared values, and we’re looking forward to growing alongside APSU while helping students succeed long after graduation,” she added.
