WASHINGTON — America’s Credit Unions is eliminating two senior executive positions in a leadership reorganization that will result in the departures of Jill Tomalin and Susan Parisi, the association said.
Tomalin, executive vice president and chief of staff, will leave after more than 26 years of service. Parisi, chief corporate counsel, will depart after 40 years, according to the association.
Under the new structure, all members of the executive leadership team will report directly to President and CEO Scott Simpson. The association said the changes are intended to align leadership responsibilities with its evolving strategic and operational needs.

The association also will create an executive-level position combining responsibility for legal affairs, organizational governance and enterprise risk. Parisi’s position will be eliminated as part of that realignment.
‘Decisions Never Easy’
“These decisions are never easy, particularly when they involve someone who has contributed as much to our organization as Jill,” Simpson said in a statement. “Her leadership, perspective, and commitment have been invaluable throughout her tenure.”
Tomalin helped guide the integration of the two legacy organizations that formed America’s Credit Unions, the association said. It credited her with developing employees, building teams and providing executive leadership.
The association also recognized Parisi for her institutional knowledge, legal counsel and leadership over four decades.
“Susan’s decades of thoughtful service and valued contributions have earned our most sincere gratitude,” Simpson said in his statement. “Both have helped shape our organization, and we wish them continued success.”

Wow, way to repay someone that has made such an impact. Ouch.
This is a reminder that we mean nothing, no matter how long we give
