TACOMA, Wash.–America’s Credit Union is proud has donated $15,000 to the JBLM Children’s Museum.
The contribution will support military families by providing free access to the museum, ensuring that children and their families can enjoy educational and enriching experiences without financial barriers, the credit union said.
The Children’s Museum operates under a “Pay As You Will” model, which allows any child to make use of the facility regardless of the ability to pay. The donation will allow the museum to underwrite those who may not otherwise be able to pay. Young military families are often at the lower end of the income scale and face challenges such as frequent relocations and deployments. The museum provides a space for them to connect, strengthen relationships, and build a sense of community.
“We are thrilled to partner with the JBLM Children’s Museum and support their mission of providing easily accessible educational opportunities for all children,” Dan Nicholson, president at the ACU Foundation, said in a statement. “Our donation will help ensure that every child, regardless of their financial situation, has the chance to explore, learn, and grow in a fun and engaging environment.”
ACU, through its Foundation, said it is committed to making a positive impact in the community by supporting initiatives that promote education, health, and well-being.
