Two Connecticut Credit Unions Announce Plans to Merge & Join the ‘Network’

HARTFORD, Conn.–America’s First Network Credit Union and Waterbury Postal Employees Federal Credit Union have announced plans to combine. If approved by members, the combination would close in the second quarter of 2026.

Both credit unions are profitable. The $102.6-million AFNCU finished 2025 with $309,131 in net income and net worth of 11.04%.  The $10.8 million Waterbury Postal had $200,165 in net income to go with net worth of 22.31% as of year-end.
