TULLAHOMA, Tenn. – Ascend Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee, is continuing its support of the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee with a $17,500 donation. The contribution will fund the Girl Scouts’ needs-based summer camp financial assistance program, their Counselor in Training and Teen Leadership Council career readiness programs, and the annual Girl Scouts luncheon.
“At Ascend, we believe the strongest communities are built by investing in the people who will lead them tomorrow,” said Ascend President and CEO Matt Jernigan. “Ascend is proud to stand alongside the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee again this year to help remove financial barriers and give more girls in our communities the chance to grow into confident, capable leaders.”

Ascend’s partnership with the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee goes beyond the financial gift. Troop leaders also receive free access to the credit union’s comprehensive K-12 financial literacy programming. Together, these efforts advance the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee’s mission to build girls of confidence, courage, and character to make the world a better place.
“We are deeply grateful for Ascend Federal Credit Union’s partnership and investment in Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. Their commitment reflects a shared belief in the power of investing in girls and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders,” said Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee President and CEO Danielle Barnes. “Through their generosity, Ascend is helping us expand access to transformative summer camp experiences and career readiness opportunities that build confidence, foster independence, and equip girls with the skills to lead, succeed, and shape their futures. We are proud to partner with an organization that shares our vision to make the world a better place.”
The partnership reflects the credit union’s key community priorities, including the well-being of children and support for diverse communities. With this year’s donation, Ascend continues more than a decade of support for Girl Scout programs and projects that have reached thousands of young women in the communities it serves.
