Ascend FCU Wins 2 Diamond Awards for Communications

TULLAHOMA, Tenn., – Ascend Federal Credit Union has won a Diamond Award from America’s Credit Unions in the “Member or Trade Communications” category for its Possibilities newsletter.

Ascend’s member newsletter was also recognized as the “Category’s Best,” earning the highest score of all other credit unions within its asset grouping.

Ascend competed against the country’s largest credit unions, with assets greater than $1 billion, and was one of three Tennessee-based credit unions within the highest asset category to receive an award.

Designed to inform and engage, Ascend’s Possibilities newsletter serves as a consistent, member-focused communication channel delivering financial education, product updates, community stories, and leadership insights. By blending these elements, the newsletter transforms routine updates into a meaningful touchpoint that keeps members connected to Ascend’s mission while reinforcing trust and transparency.

“We’re honored to be recognized with a category’s best Diamond Award for our Possibilities newsletter,” said Nick Riegal, Ascend’s senior vice president of marketing. “This recognition reflects our team’s commitment to creating meaningful, member-first communications that not only inform, but also empower our members to take control of their financial futures.”
