Blaze CU’s Dan Stoltz Elected Chair of Alloya Corporate

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Blaze Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer Dan Stoltz has been elected chair of the Board of Directors of Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union, one of the nation’s leading providers of cooperative financial services to credit unions.

Stoltz was elected board chair at Alloya’s Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with the Credit Union Leadership Symposium. He succeeds David Suvall, the retired president and CEO of Rhode Island Credit Union, who served as Chair beginning in December 2021.

Alloya serves more than 1,200 credit unions and credit union organizations nationwide, providing a broad range of financial services, including liquidity management, investments, digital payments, and member solutions. As Board Chair, Stoltz will help guide the strategic direction of the cooperative while representing the interests of credit unions across the country.

“Being elected chair of Alloya’s Board is both an honor and a responsibility,” said Stoltz. “Credit unions are built on the philosophy of people helping people, and Alloya exemplifies that cooperative spirit every day. I look forward to working alongside the outstanding board, leadership team, and member credit unions to continue strengthening the collaborative solutions that help credit unions serve their members and communities more effectively.”

Stoltz has served on Alloya’s Board of Directors since 2018 and has been a strong advocate for collaboration within the credit union movement throughout his career. Under his leadership, Blaze Credit Union has grown into one of the largest credit unions in Minnesota while remaining focused on delivering exceptional value to its members, supporting employees, and investing in local communities.

“Dan’s election as Board Chair reflects the respect he has earned as a visionary leader and champion of the cooperative model,” said Blaze Credit Union Board Chair Thomas Heinzen. “His commitment to innovation, financial strength, and community impact has benefited Blaze members for years, and we are thrilled to see him bring that same leadership to the national stage.”

Todd Adams, Chief Executive Officer of Alloya, recognized Stoltz’s appointment during the annual meeting.

“As we celebrate Alloya’s 15th anniversary, I congratulate Dan Stoltz as he steps into the role of Board Chair,” Adams said. “His commitment to the credit union movement gives me great confidence in our ability to continue advancing the mission of people helping people through the Power of Cooperation.”

The appointment further elevates Blaze Credit Union’s presence within the credit union industry and reinforces the organization’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative financial system. Stoltz’s leadership role at Alloya will provide additional opportunities to collaborate with credit union leaders across the country and help shape solutions that benefit millions of credit union members nationwide.
