COOPER CITY, Fla.–BrightStar Credit Union has named Ted Hassenfelt as chief information officer. 

Hassenfelt brings over 20 years of experience within the credit union and banking industries, leading financial institutions in digital transformation and innovation through technology. 

Prior to joining BrightStar, Hassenfelt worked at Suncoast Credit Union for 18 years, Publix Credit Union and Engage fi. 

“He’s known for the ability to build and lead diverse, high-performance teams dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that propel organizational growth and enhance operational efficiency. His expertise ranges from conceptualizing and implementing AI-driven products to steering comprehensive digital transformations in dynamic environments,” the credit union said.

Hassenfelt holds a bachelor’s degree in software development from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.
