ATLANTA– Center Parc Credit Union Foundation recently celebrated another successful Backpack Giveback, bringing together employees to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year.
Now in its seventh year, Backpack Giveback has become a cherished annual tradition for the Foundation and Center Parc team members. This year’s event marked its biggest impact yet, with 300 backpacks packed, which is 50 more than last year. Thanks to the generosity of countless Center Parc employees who donated school supplies and the efforts of 47 employee volunteers who packed the backpacks, the Foundation was able to help even more students prepare for the upcoming school year.
The 300 backpacks, packed by Center Parc team members, were donated to WSB-TV’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign, where they will be distributed to local students in need across metro Atlanta. Through the long-running community initiative, backpacks and school supplies are provided to help students begin the school year ready to learn.
“Backpack Giveback is one of the highlights of our year because it reflects what our team is all about—coming together to support our communities in meaningful ways,” said Blake Westbrook, Chief Growth Officer at Center Parc Credit Union. “Knowing these backpacks will help students across metro Atlanta start the school year prepared makes this effort especially meaningful. We’re incredibly grateful to every employee who donated school supplies and to the volunteers who gave their time to pack each backpack. Together, they made this our largest Backpack Giveback yet.”
Backpack Giveback has grown each year since its launch, with participation from Center Parc employees continuing to increase alongside the number of students served. The event reflects the Center Parc Credit Union Foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves through volunteerism, education, and community support.
