PITTSBURGH — Clearview Federal Credit Union has extended and expanded its sponsorship agreement with University of Pittsburgh Athletics, adding a co-branded debit card and increasing the credit union’s visibility across Pitt sports.
Pitt Athletics said the multiyear agreement continues Clearview’s designation as the Official Credit Union of the Pitt Panthers, a relationship that began in 2021.
The new Pitt-branded debit card became available Sept. 1 to new and existing Clearview members with eligible checking accounts. The card, featuring a blue Pitt logo against a gold background, can be requested online or at Clearview financial centers, according to Pitt Athletics.
“Clearview Federal Credit Union has been an outstanding partner to Pitt Athletics since 2021 and this expansion reflects the strength of that relationship,” Pitt Athletic Director C. Allen Greene said in a statement.
Greene said the debit card gives fans another way to display their affiliation with the university while expanding Clearview’s support for Pitt Athletics and its student-athletes.

NIL Partnership Planned
Clearview also is working with H2P NIL, Pitt’s name, image and likeness platform, to create opportunities for selected student-athletes to promote the debit card, Pitt Athletics said.
Clearview plans to promote the card at selected Pitt football games and on campus this fall, where fans will be able to learn about the card and sign up.
The expanded agreement also makes Clearview the presenting partner of the Pitt Gameday App and provides the credit union with sideline signage at Acrisure Stadium and LED signage at the new Victory Heights athletic complex.
“Our relationship with Pitt Athletics has always been about more than what happens on gameday,” Clearview President and CEO Lisa Florian said in a statement. “It’s about creating connections that matter to our members and to the greater Pittsburgh community.”
Florian said the debit card gives Clearview another way to engage members, students, alumni and Pitt fans.
Partnership Dates to 2021
Clearview became the Official Credit Union of the Pitt Panthers in 2021 under an agreement that included credit union category exclusivity, presenting sponsorship of the Jr. Panthers Kids Club, sponsorship of football and men’s basketball 50/50 raffles and signage at Pitt athletic facilities.
JMI Sports, Pitt Athletics’ multimedia rights partner, worked with Clearview and the university on the expanded agreement, according to Pitt Athletics.
“This year, Clearview Federal Credit Union celebrates six years as an official partner of Pitt Athletics,” JMI Sports President Paul Archey said in a statement.
Archey called the debit card the first co-branded Pitt Athletics debit card and said it is intended to deepen the connection between Clearview and Pitt fans.
Clearview, which describes itself as the largest credit union in southwestern Pennsylvania, serves about 140,000 members and reported more than $2 billion in assets as of July.
