RALEIGH, N.C.–Coastal Credit Union has once again been named one of the Triangle Business Journal’s Best Places to Work for 2026. This marks the 10th time Coastal has been recognized over the past 11 years, and the 11th time overall, the credit union said.
“This recognition is a testament to our employees and the culture we’ve built together,” said Joe Mecca, Coastal’s VP of communication. “We’ve made intentional investments into our workplace and continue to foster an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work.”

Following the unveiling of its renovated headquarters last year, a transformation designed to promote flexibility and collaboration, Coastal has remained committed to supporting employee well-being and cultivating a positive workplace culture.
The Best Places to Work winners were selected based on an employee survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. To qualify, Coastal was required to meet a minimum employee participation threshold. They earned strong marks for employee engagement and benefits, with employee feedback highlighting the organization’s collaborative culture and positive work environment.
Coastal and other honorees were recognized at an event on August 20 and are featured in the Triangle Business Journal’s August 21 Best Places to Work special edition.
