DEPTFORD, N.J.– Rowan College of South Jersey will launch The First Harvest Financial Innovation Lab following an $85,000 gift from First Harvest Credit Union.
This gift will support RCSJ’s commitment to enhance financial literacy and workforce development offerings for its students, according to the organizations, and will fund the renovation and equipping of this new financial literacy lab located on the Gloucester campus.
In addition to the monetary gift, First Harvest CU said it will assist RCSJ in the education and training needed for workforce development benefiting RCSJ students. This includes:
- Subsidizing/supporting the cost of a financial software subscription for use of RCSJ students and faculty in connection with the innovation lab
- Scholarship support for students majoring in business division programs
- Priority, paid internship placements for RCSJ students (who meet placement criteria) at one of First Harvest’s Gloucester, Cumberland, Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, or Camden County locations
- A direct connection employment program to enable RCSJ students to explore employment opportunities at First Harvest via its Human Resources department
- Continued tuition discount benefits for First Harvest employees
