November Issue of the CU Board Brief is Sent to Subscribers

BROWNVILLE, Maine–Credit union board members who are subscribers to the Credit Union Board Brief received their November issue over the weekend.

Each month The Board Brief highlights a curated list of approximately one dozen big-picture news items, trends, and developments that board members should be aware of, without getting down into more specific issues that are the domain of management.

The Board Brief also helps CU board members to meet their educational requirements.

For November, the reporting includes:

  • A look at how credit unions have been performing by category
  • ‘Eating the Lunch of Interchange:’ Why Stablecoins Are a Priority
  • The Other Side of AI: An Opportunity Unique to Credit Unions?
  • Loans that Last Longer Than the Car: 7-Year Vehicle Terms Hit Record
  • Why Every Credit Union Needs to be Thinking About Payments—Or Else!
  • Town & Country FCU Opens New ‘Collab: TECH’ Branch to Demo Its Technology

Plus, six more easy to read overviews of what’s taking place broadly in credit unions and across financial services.

About The Board Brief
The CU Board Brief has been designed to meet directors’ educational requirements by informing them of big-picture issues taking place in credit unions and financial services and to provide potential discussion points in the boardroom while not overwhelming readers with too much information.

Developed in Conjunction With CU Volunteers
The monthly update was developed in conjunction with attendees at Rochdale’s Volunteer Leadership Institute and is based on their feedback.

Credit unions that want to ensure their boards continue to meet educational requirements and develop the skills needed to oversee ongoing growth should contact Frank J. Diekmann at [email protected] to start a new subscription.

Costs & Information
The cost of The CU Board Brief is just $799 per year, and that’s for the entire board, not per person. Discounts are also available to credit unions that belong to a number of organizations.

For info or to receive a copy of the July issue, contact Frank J. Diekmann at [email protected].
