Curql Makes $4.5 Million Investment in Trust & Will

SAN DIEGO–Trust & Will, a provider of digital estate planning, said it has received a $4.5 million investment from Curql, the investment fund created by and for credit unions to collectively invest in fintech.

With the investment the company said it is forming a CUSO.

According to the company, the investment is part of Trust & Will’s Series C round and reinforces its “commitment to expanding access to estate planning for credit union members nationwide.” 

With this addition, Trust & Will said its total Series C funding will exceed $32 million.

“As an innovator in the financial services space, Trust & Will has helped more than one million Americans begin their legacy planning journey, and this strategic investment will enable even greater integration within the credit union ecosystem,” the company said. 

Trust & Will said it began working with credit unions in 2018, evolving from a single partnership to working with more than 200 credit unions today. 

CUSO is Formed

With the investment Trust & Will said it is forming a CUSO through which credit unions will have the opportunity to invest in and offer specialized estate planning services tailored to members.

Curql said its “collaborative ecosystem” now represents more than 130 credit unions jointly investing in fintech.

Joining NACUSO

Trust & Will said that as part of its next phase of growth it is also joining the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations (NACUSO) as a Platinum Partner.
