HELENA, Mont.-Rocky Mountain Credit Union has named Cyrus Malkin as its new president and CEO. Malkin has served as Interim-CEO since September 2024 after the retirement of Steve Sendon, who served as CEO from 2018 to September of 2024.
“This has been my long-term goal since I started with Rocky Mountain, and I am honored to have been named CEO of the credit union,” said Malkin. “I am confident that with our dedicated board of directors and talented staff, the credit union will continue to see success and provide our members with the products and services they need.”
Malkin began employment with Rocky Mountain in 2008. He has held various leadership roles throughout his tenure, including vice president of risk management and controller. Malkin was named CFO of the organization in 2021.
“He has been an integral part of Rocky Mountain’s success by increasing revenue of the investment portfolio and strengthening the organization’s liquidity. Malkin also serves on the asset liability committee of Millennium Corporate Credit Union,” the credit unions aid.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Montana State University- Billings.
“Cyrus has spent almost 17 years with our credit union,” said Board Chair Kristin Bouchard. “He knows the history of the organization, our culture, and our community. The board is confident in our choice of Cyrus, and we look forward to continued success in serving the community.”
