PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — Dannemora Federal Credit Union has introduced a new logo and brand identity as the 68-year-old credit union said it is seeking to modernize its image while maintaining ties to its North Country roots.
The new branding, launched Sept. 1, includes a redesigned logo, updated color palette and other changes to the credit union’s visual identity.

The $320-million DFCU plans to introduce the new branding gradually over the next several months at its branches and across its digital services, Sun Community News reported.
Members will see the changes incorporated into online banking, DFCU’s mobile app and website, as well as forms, cards and signage. Both the old and new branding may appear during the transition.
‘Incredibly Proud’
“We are incredibly proud of our 68-year history of providing exceptional financial services to the North Country through a combination of personalized, local service and innovative digital tools,” DFCU CEO Chris Hay said, according to Sun Community News.
Hay said the rebranding reflects the credit union’s focus on growth and modernization while maintaining the history and values that have shaped the institution.
He credited Business Development and Marketing Manager Anna Hewitt-Channell and Creative Brand Strategist Michelle Besaw with leading the rebranding effort.
Rebrand Comes Amid Broader Changes
The new identity follows several years in which DFCU has expanded its emphasis on financial wellness and education, youth engagement, community partnerships and digital services, according to Sun Community News.
The credit union said the new brand was designed to reflect those changes and position DFCU for future growth while maintaining its connection to the communities it has served for generations.
Dannemora Federal Credit Union was founded in 1958 and serves communities in northern New York.
