KINGSPORT, Tenn.–Members of Eastman Credit Union received an early Christmas present with news a $16 million extraordinary dividend is coming their way.
Since 1998, the credit union has returned $209 million to members via the extraordinary dividends.

“We are always thankful to give back to our members and communities in extraordinary ways,” President and CEO Kelly Price said in a statement. “Returning an Extraordinary Dividend is a way to show ECU members our appreciation for their loyalty. This year’s dividend will disperse $16 million among qualifying members.”
‘Only One Way We Give Back’
ECU’s extraordinary dividend payout to members in January 2025 is calculated based on the interest paid on loans and earned on deposits throughout the year.
“The year-end dividend is only one way we give back to members,” Price said. “We give back to members in extraordinary ways every day through special product features like free checking accounts and unique financing options, great rates, and caring service. We take the time to help every member because their financial well-being is our top priority.”
