FRESNO, Calif.–Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) has been recognized in three categories of the 12th Annual Best of North San Luis Obispo (SLO) County Readers’ Poll by The Atascadero News and The Paso Robles Press.
Voters selected the Paso Robles branch of EECU as the Best Bank or Credit Union, Best Mortgage or Home Loans, and Best New Location or Relocation for Existing Business. The awards reflect EECU’s commitment to delivering excellent member service and exceptional community support, the CU said.
The Best of North SLO County awards are held annually to highlight the best businesses and services in the area. Category winners are selected based directly on reader-submitted responses and it is not a multiple-choice vote.

“We are deeply honored to be voted by our community as the Best Credit Union and Best Home Loans in North SLO County,” said Beth Dooley, EECU president and CEO, in a statement. “This recognition reinforces our commitment to serving Paso Robles and the surrounding coastal communities.”
The awards follow the Fresno-based credit union’s physical expansion to the central coast with the opening of its Paso Robles branch in June 2023. Since opening, the branch has become a mainstay in the community, sponsoring local events and providing access to vital financial services.
“It is incredibly meaningful to be recognized by our members and community,” Paso Robles Branch Manager Carrie Danielson said in a statement. “I’m especially proud of our team for their hard work and dedication.”
Uniquely, the Paso Robles branch is fully staffed with licensed loan counselors who can accept real estate loan applications directly in the branch, according to EECU.
