FRESNO, Calif.– Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) brought together its management team for specialized training focused on emerging fraud threats, artificial intelligence, and strategies to enhance its efforts to protect members and the credit union.
The training featured presentations from experts on artificial intelligence and fraud awareness, providing EECU leaders with insight into how rapidly evolving technology is changing the fraud landscape and the ways financial institutions can identify and respond to new threats.
Members of the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, along with law enforcement partners from the Fresno Police Department, also shared information about consumer and bank fraud. Presenters discussed current fraud issues and trends, the investigative process, and the prosecution of financial crimes.
“Fraud continues to evolve and education is one of the most important tools we have to stay ahead of emerging threats,” EECU President and CEO Elizabeth J. Dooley said in a statement. “Bringing together experts in law enforcement, fraud prevention, and artificial intelligence gives our leaders valuable knowledge they can use to help protect our members and our organization.”
The training reflects EECU’s ongoing commitment to fraud prevention and member security. In addition to strengthening employees’ knowledge and awareness, EECU regularly provides members with information about common scams and steps they can take to safeguard their accounts and personal information.
