FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Eglin Federal Credit Union is marking America’s 250th birthday with a series of branch celebrations and a summer giveaway that will award cruise vacations to a dozen winners, according to the credit union.
Eglin FCU said festivities will begin July 1 and July 2 at its branches, where visitors will receive complimentary cookies and patriotic-themed promotional items while supplies last.
The credit union also announced its “Cruise on in for America’s 250th Celebration Giveaway,” which will run from July 1 through Aug. 31. The promotion will give participants a chance to win one of 12 five-day, four-night cruise vacations for two to destinations including Mexico, the Bahamas or the western Caribbean.
Random Winner to be Selected
According to Eglin FCU, one winner will be selected from each of its 12 branches through a random drawing. Entries must be submitted in person at an Eglin FCU branch, and participants are limited to one entry per day. Entrants must be at least 21 years old.
The credit union said the events are intended to celebrate the nation’s milestone anniversary while creating opportunities to engage with members and prospective members.
‘Special Opportunity’
“This is a special opportunity for us to celebrate our country’s history while connecting with the communities we serve,” Laura Coale, Eglin FCU’s senior vice president of marketing and public relations, said in a statement. “We’re excited to provide a memorable experience for our members, welcome prospective members into our full-service locations, and give everyone a chance to win an unforgettable vacation.”
Eglin FCU said the promotion and branch events are part of its efforts to commemorate the nation’s semi quincentennial celebration while encouraging community participation at its locations.
