Extra! Extra! The CU Daily to Introduce Refreshed Look

KANSAS CITY, Mo.–The CU Daily is about to unveil a refreshed look and, yes, get even better!

No, seriously. Despite what today’s date may imply, we’re not foolin’: the CU Daily is about to introduce a new and improved version of the site, even though it’s less than six weeks old. The new site will be live tomorrow, April 2.

“Some might call it a soft launch followed by a hard launch, but it’s more fitting to say it was a demand launch followed by an even-stronger-demand launch,” said the CU Daily’s cooperator-in-chief, Frank J. Diekmann. “We came into the market on Feb. 28 in response to leaders from throughout the credit union community consistently asking for a comprehensive news publication to serve the industry. And we delivered that with our initial launch. Now, with a month of feedback and input and suggestions, we are relaunching the site with an improved design to help readers take advantage of the tremendous amount of news that is freshly reported every day.”

What You Will Find on TheCUDaily.com

In the updated format, the site’s features will continue to include:

  • The Latest: Just what the name implies: A dozen-plus of the latest news items of interest to credit unions updated at least daily.
  • The Lead: The feature story of the day, which takes a deeper look at a single issue, development or credit union project
  • The CommUnity: An ongoing overview of all of the good works credit unions are doing in their communities
  • The Movement in Minutes: A short video update on the news stories of the week
  • Opinion: A broad marketplace of viewpoints and opinions, including perspectives that don’t hesitate to challenge the CU status quo
  • The Credit Union Store: The 24x7x365 3-D marketplace featuring “booths” from solutions providers to credit unions that grows larger every day
  • The HR Department: Updates on personnel changes in credit unions, CUSOs, corporates and more
  • The ECU System: A listing of credit union associations and groups
  • The Agenda: A constantly updated calendar of credit union meetings and events
  • The Podcast: This is an AI-generated “discussion” of credit union issues in the news. You have to hear it to believe it.
