FRANKENMUTH, Mich.–Frankenmuth Credit Union (FCU) celebrated the hard work and dedication of local youth by awarding 158 Livestock Grants across nine counties this summer.
The grants totaled over $10,000 to aid some of FCU’s youngest members with some of the cost of raising their animals for auction at their county fairs.

The following counties were represented in this year’s awards:

6 Genesee County
46 Huron County
1 Lapeer County
5 Midland County
38 Saginaw County
1 Sanilac County
7 Shiawassee County
50 Tuscola County
“Frankenmuth Credit Union is honored to support these young exhibitors as they see the countless hours they have invested caring for their animals pay off,” said Vickie Schmitzer, CEO of Frankenmuth Credit Union. “They have developed valuable life skills that will aid them in whatever they set their minds to next.”
