EL PASO, Texas–The GECU Foundation concluded its 2025 Matching May campaign with a celebration at Southwest University Park during the El Paso Chihuahuas game.

The event recognized the community’s incredible support of 12 nonprofit organizations across El Paso and Southern New Mexico throughout the month-long campaign, the foundation said.
This year’s campaign raised a total of $230,156, with each dollar matched by the GECU Foundation up to $12,000 per participating nonprofit. The Matching May initiative continues to serve as a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when we work together to support causes that matter, the foundation said.
“We are truly inspired by the generosity and unity shown by our community during this year’s Matching May campaign,” Emmeline Garcia, executive director of the GECU Foundation, said in a statement. “Every contribution, no matter the size, helps provide critical resources to organizations that are making a real impact in the lives of individuals and families in our region.”
