GTE Financial Partners with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay to Bring Programs Helping with Financial and Career Skills

TAMPA, Fla.–As students across Tampa Bay head back to school , GTE Financial is partnering with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay as its August Charity of the Month, supporting programs that equip young people with the financial knowledge, career skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed to succeed long after graduation.

Serving 13 counties throughout West Central Florida, Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay provides volunteer-led, hands-on learning experiences that help students understand personal finance, explore career opportunities and develop the confidence to make informed financial decisions. The organization’s programs connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, preparing students to navigate college, careers and life with greater financial confidence.

Throughout August, GTE Financial employees will support Junior Achievement through fundraising initiatives, volunteer opportunities and community engagement as part of the credit union’s year-round Charity of the Month program. Guided by the philosophy of “people helping people,” GTE partners with local nonprofits that are making a meaningful impact across the communities it serves.

Community members can also support Junior Achievement throughout August by donating through GTE Financial. Contributions can be made via Zelle to [email protected], by cash or check at any GTE Community Financial Center, or through GTE’s Future Change program, which rounds up debit card purchases to the nearest dollar to benefit the current Charity of the Month.
