Holy Rosary CU Names New President and CEO

ROCHESTER, N.H. — Holy Rosary Credit Union has named Kayla Selhorst as its next president and CEO, with the Ohio credit union executive set to succeed longtime leader Brian Hughes following a planned transition later this year.

According to Holy Rosary Credit Union, Selhorst will join the Rochester, N.H.-based institution on Oct. 1 and will work alongside Hughes through the end of 2026 to facilitate the leadership transition. Hughes, who has led the credit union for more than 22 years, is scheduled to retire Dec. 31.

The appointment follows what the credit union described as a comprehensive national search conducted in partnership with executive search firm Smith & Wilkinson.

Kayla Selhorst

Selhorst will take the helm of the more than $500 million-asset credit union, which serves more than 25,000 members across New Hampshire.

‘Impressed the Board’

“Kayla impressed the board with her leadership style, strategic thinking and genuine commitment to staff, members, community engagement and advancing the credit union movement,” Board Chairman Dana Flanders said in a statement. “She is an exceptional fit for HRCU and will build upon the strong culture and solid financial position Brian and our dedicated team have established.”

Selhorst currently serves as senior vice president and chief operating officer at CME Federal Credit Union in Columbus, Ohio. In that role, she oversees lending, retail delivery, member experience, operations and strategic initiatives.

According to Holy Rosary Credit Union, Selhorst has focused throughout her career on employee development, strengthening member relationships and positioning community credit unions for long-term success. She also serves on the board of directors of the Ohio Credit Union League.

An ‘Honor’

“I am honored to join HRCU and grateful for the confidence the board has placed in me,” Selhorst said. “HRCU has earned an outstanding reputation for serving its members, investing in its employees and strengthening the communities it serves. I look forward to working alongside Brian and the HRCU team during this transition while building on the exceptional foundation already in place.”

Hughes said he believes Selhorst is well positioned to continue the credit union’s member-focused mission.

“HRCU has always been about people—our members, our employees and our communities,” Hughes said. “Throughout the search process, it became clear that Kayla shares those values, and I have every confidence she will lead HRCU with integrity, vision and care. I look forward to working closely with her over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition for everyone we serve.”
