SPOKANE, Wash. — Numerica Credit Union is expanding its ties to Western Hockey League teams in Washington, becoming the first jersey patch sponsor of the Spokane Chiefs while introducing a Wenatchee Wild-themed debit card for members.
The $5 billion credit union said its logo will appear on all Spokane Chiefs game jerseys beginning with the 2026-27 WHL season. Numerica already holds naming rights to the Chiefs’ home venue, Numerica Veterans Arena.
Numerica said the jersey sponsorship is part of a 10-year naming rights agreement announced in 2025 among the credit union, the Spokane Public Facilities District and the Chiefs. Renaming the arena also was part of that agreement.
The Chiefs, based in Spokane, compete in the Western Hockey League, a major junior hockey league that includes teams in the United States and Canada.
Wild Debit Card Introduced
Separately, Numerica has expanded its relationship with another WHL franchise, the Wenatchee Wild, by introducing a Wild-branded debit card.
The Wenatchee-based team plays its home games at Town Toyota Center.
Numerica said the debit card is available at no additional cost to eligible members and can be used for standard debit transactions, including contactless payments and through mobile wallets.
“Being a Numerica member comes with experiences and benefits that go beyond everyday banking,” Chief Strategy Officer Kelley Ferguson said in a statement.
“Our partnership with the Wenatchee Wild gives us another way to add value for our members, connecting them with a team they love and creating special opportunities to experience Wild hockey throughout the season,” Ferguson added.
The Wild design joins other themed debit cards offered by Numerica, including one featuring Gonzaga University and Eastern Washington University.
