DOVER, N.H..–Lighthouse Credit Union said it has created a new Transformation Office, which it said is designed to “accelerate execution and position the business for long-term impact.”

As part of the initiative, it has also named Adam Wendel as its new chief strategy officer (CSO), “reinforcing the organization’s commitment to strategic growth and innovation,” the credit union said.
According to the $1.93-billion Lighthouse CU, as CSO, Wendel will lead its Corporate Strategy & Insights function while spearheading the Transformation Office—a “purpose-built team focused on converting vision into velocity,” according to the credit union.
‘Forward-Leaning Function’
“This forward-leaning function is designed to foster enterprise-wide agility, operational precision, and strategic clarity across every level of the organization,” the 166,000-member LCU said. “The Transformation Office will serve as a catalyst for precise execution, enabling Lighthouse to balance its strategy with day-to-day operations through structured initiatives, enterprise change management, and data-driven performance tracking.”
Added President and CEO Chris Parker in a statement, “This role is about more than setting the direction—it’s about execution. Adam is the right leader to ensure our strategy drives lasting results for our members, teams, and business. The launch of the Transformation Office is a major step in making sure Lighthouse is not only thinking big—but delivering big and making positive impact on the communities and members we serve.”
Wendel joined Lighthouse in January 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience in “shaping growth strategies across financial services including retail banking, wealth, and insurance,” the credit union said.

Prior to Lighthouse, he served as an associate partner at McKinsey & Co., where he advised businesses on unlocking growth and building high-performing teams.
‘Bold Vision’
“Lighthouse has a bold vision for the future, and I’m honored to help shape and execute that journey,” said Wendel in a statement. “With the launch of the Transformation Office, we’re not just building strategy—we’re embedding it into the fabric of how Lighthouse operates every day. Our goal is to deliver sustainable growth that creates real value for our members and empowers our teams to lead with purpose and clarity.”
