LAND O’LAKES, Fla.–A fervent fan of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning and member of GTE Financial Credit Union of more than 30 years was give a surprise 70th birthday gift, thanks to the team and the credit union.
The member, who was not identified by the credit union,
received a special visit from the Lightning’s mascot, ThunderBug, “who brought the Bolts experience directly to his home as roughly 35 family members and friends, including family who traveled in for the occasion, gathered to celebrate, GTE Financial said.
The celebration was part of the ThunderBolt House Party, which brings together the Tampa Bay Lightning and GTE Financial to create a “memorable experience for a local fan and his family, the organizations added.
