Luminate’s YPN Recognizes Tyler Brooks With Pro of the Year Award

BATON ROUGE, La.–Luminate, the state CU association in Louisiana, said its Young Professionals Network (YPN) has presented Tyler Brooks of EFCU Financial the 2024 Young Professional of the Year Award. The award recognizes an individual 18-40 years of age who has been exceptionally engaged and supportive of the Louisiana credit union movement over the past year.

Luminate said Brooks’ career trajectory reflects a deep commitment to operational excellence, member service, and industry advancement, making him a standout leader throughout the movement.

“Currently serving as VP of Projects and Innovation, Tyler has held a series of progressively senior positions, demonstrating his ability to drive results and lead teams effectively,” Luminate said. “His leadership extends beyond his professional roles. He actively contributes to the credit union industry through his involvement in key councils and committees, including Operations and Member Experience Membership Council – America’s Credit Unions, DEI Council Member – EFCU, and previously served on YPN Steering Committee – Baton Rouge Chapter.

“His innovative mindset and strategic thinking have been recognized at the highest levels. He was honored as Innovator of the Year in January 2025 for his groundbreaking contributions to operational efficiency and member engagement. Furthermore, his selection as an inductee into the 2024 Filene i3 Program underscores his potential to drive meaningful change within the credit union movement.
