LENEXA, Kan. — Mainstreet Credit Union plans to open a new operations center in Lenexa in October and move its local branch to a separate site after renovations are completed.
The operations center at 10910 W. 87th St. will bring together departments now housed at multiple locations, the $702-million Mainstreet said. The credit union expects the move to improve collaboration and provide room for growth.
Mainstreet’s Lenexa branch, currently located with its headquarters at 13001 W. 95th St., will move to 9500 Lackman Road. Renovations are expected to be completed around the end of the year, according to the credit union.
The new branch will have private spaces for financial consultations and rooms for financial wellness classes and workshops. Mainstreet said it also plans to make the rooms available to local groups and organizations.
Could No Longer Support ‘Mission’
“As a growing credit union, we found the existing Lenexa headquarters and branch could no longer support our mission and vision for the future,” CEO Bob Mayes said in a statement. He said the new facilities would support financial education, community outreach and personalized member service.
Commercial real estate firm CBRE represented Mainstreet in both property transactions. Bob Fagan, who worked on the transactions with Matt Eckert and Matt Rau, said the facilities would help the credit union improve how it serves members.
