Merrimack Valley CU, Bridgewater CU Began Operating Under New Brand

LAWRENCE, Mass.– Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) and Bridgewater Credit Union, which had been operating as a division of MVCU, have rebranded as a single entity called  BrightBridge Credit Union.

According to the $2.2-billion BrightBridge, the new name  “unifies a branch network that spans from southern New Hampshire through the South Shore of Massachusetts and reflects the credit union’s commitment to empowering members with financial opportunities and building stronger connections with the communities it serves.”

“The name BrightBridge Credit Union embodies our dedication to supporting our members through life’s biggest milestones and challenges,” President & CEO John J. Howard said in a statement. “We will focus on providing exceptional financial products, services and personalized support that will ensure our members know that we have their backs! We truly want this to be the best place they’ve ever banked and we will work hard to make that a reality.”

Branches Redesigned

The credit union said the new branding is reflected in redesigned branches and new signage, along with updated digital banking platforms.

“We may look a little bit different, but the wonderful people our members work with in our branches, over the phone and online will not change,” Howard added in a statement. “We are committed to making this transition seamless for our members and they can expect their banking experience to only be enhanced with this rebrand.”

BrightBridge Credit Union has approximately 115,000 members.
