EAST LANSING, Mich. —Reseda Group, the credit union service organization owned by MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), has invested in cybersecurity firm Stickley on Security as part of an effort to expand fraud prevention and information security resources for credit unions.
According to Reseda Group, the investment will support Stickley on Security, cybersecurity consulting, education and compliance services, which are designed specifically for credit unions and other financial institutions.
“Reseda Group’s investment in Stickley on Security is a continuation of our efforts to expand fraud prevention and financial security services for credit unions,” Ben Maxim, chief operating officer of Reseda Group and chief technology officer of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, said in a statement.

‘Backbone’ of Industry
“We believe that collaboration is the backbone of an innovative industry, and our investment directly reflects that,” Maxim said. “We are proud to partner with a company making fraud prevention education more accessible for all credit unions and, in turn, providing a more secure and trustworthy experience for their members.”
Founded in 2007 by cybersecurity expert Jim Stickley, Stickley on Security provides training, consulting and security services tailored to credit unions.
The Offerings
According to the company, its offerings include:
- Cybersecurity education courses and employee training programs.
- Risk assessments and IT audits.
- Penetration testing and security assessments.
- Vulnerability management.
- Employee and member security awareness education.
- Incident response planning.
- Domain protection services designed to safeguard member data and institutional trust.
“Financial institutions shouldn’t have to assemble a half-dozen vendors to build an effective cybersecurity program,” Jim Stickley, founder and CEO of Stickley on Security, said in a statement.
The Vision

According to Reseda Group, the investment expands its ecosystem of fintech companies and service providers available to credit unions.
The announcement follows Stickley on Security’s recent merger with VYFI, a credit union service organization focused on information security. The combined organization is intended to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and regulatory preparedness for credit unions, banks, fintechs and other organizations, according to Reseda Group.
