VIENNA, Va. – Navy Federal Credit Union is donating $100,000 to United Way of West Florida’s Hurricane Isaias Relief Fund to help support relief and recovery efforts in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties following the storm.
“For so many of us at Navy Federal, this is home,” said Jackie Biggs, executive vice president for Greater Pensacola Operations atNavy Federal Credit Union. “Nearly 95% of our Greater Pensacola Operations team members live in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, so when a storm impacts these communities, it impacts our coworkers, members, friends and neighbors. Navy Federal said the donation will help the United Way of West Florida and its network of community partners provide emergency assistance and recovery resources to individuals and families affected by Hurricane Isaias.

“Navy Federal Credit Union has been a longstanding partner of United Way of West Florida, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to our community, said Laura Gilliam, United Way of West Florida president and CEO. “In the wake of Hurricane Isaias, their generosity will help provide much-needed long-term recovery support for local families as they work to rebuild their lives. This contribution to the UWWF Recovery Fund will help us partner with local organizations to get resources where they are needed most. We are thankful for Navy Federal’s partnership and their dedication to helping our community move forward. We encourage others to contribute to the UWWF Recovery Fund. Every donation helps us support local efforts and ensure families have a community standing behind them when they need it most.”
