Navy FCU Provides Grant to Rosie Network to Support Business Training for Vets, Spouses

SAN DIEGO — Navy Federal Credit Union will provide a grant to The Rosie Network to support business training for veterans, military spouses and transitioning service members, the nonprofit announced. The grant amount was not disclosed.

The grant will support Service2CEO, The Rosie Network’s program offering training, mentorship and resources to help military-connected entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. Navy Federal also will help deliver Money Matters, a program module focused on financial education.

Leaders Describe Partnership

“Veterans and military spouses already possess many of the qualities that make great entrepreneurs — resilience, adaptability, leadership and a commitment to serving others,” said Will Scott, vice president of Navy Federal’s Business Solutions. He said the partnership is intended to help participants turn those strengths into businesses that create jobs and economic opportunities.

“We’re excited that Navy Federal Credit Union is joining our ranks to provide Service2CEO participants with best-in-class educational and mentorship resources,” said Stephanie Brown, founder and CEO of The Rosie Network and MilStreet USA.

Program Serves Military-Connected Entrepreneurs

According to The Rosie Network, Service2CEO provides:

  • Business training for veterans, military spouses and transitioning service members.
  • Mentorship and resources to help participants launch, grow and expand their businesses.
  • Financial education through the Money Matters module.

Brown founded The Rosie Network in 2012. The nonprofit says its programs have helped thousands of military-connected entrepreneurs start and grow small businesses.
