OCC Says It Will Again Host ‘Virtual Office Hours’ on Tech, Innovation

WASHINGTON–The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said it will again host its “virtual office hours,” which focus on technology and innovation and relationships between banks and fintechs, May 6-8.

The OCC said the event is designed to promote  “responsible innovation in the federal banking system” and are the chance for banks and fintech companies to “engage with OCC staff on matters related to bank-fintech partnerships, cryptocurrency activities, or other matters related to responsible innovation in the federal banking system.”

Banks and others may request a meeting with agency staff by March 31. The agency said it plans additional office hours during the year.

The OCC is currently led by former NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood.
