MADISON, Wis.–To celebrate International Credit Union Day today, the CU Daily has unveiled its second annual ICU Day video, featuring credit unions from around the world extending their best wishes to their fellow CUs.
New this year: two representatives from hospitals that are part of Children’s Miracle Network also extend their greetings and thanks for the work credit unions do in raising funds for that important charity.
In the 2026 video, released in conjunction with this year’s International CU Day theme, “Cooperative Finance: A Steady Signal in a Noisy World,” the messages have a fitting beginning, starting with New Zealand, the first country in the world to celebrate ICU Day.
Other countries represented in the video include Vietnam, the U.K., and the United States (with a special thanks to Wings Credit Union for producing an excellent video on short notice).
In conjunction with International CU Day, the CU Daily features commentary and insights from Paul Treinen, CEO of the World Council of Credit Unions, here.
From the team at the CU Daily, happy International Credit Union Day.
